I grew up in South Cambridgeshire, UK and from an early age I was always drawing. Art was the way in which I could communicate to the world what was going on in my ‘overactive’ imagination. As I aged my imagination did not diminish and was influenced by my love of folklore, nature and wild spaces. To me the wild places I played when younger felt magical and otherworldly and this has carried over into my artwork, which frequently has a fantastical as well as natural elements. My aim is to create work that brings that sense of the otherworldly and the childlike fun of letting your dreams and imagination run wild to the viewer.

I love to work in different media rather than be constrained by only working in one. I have developed my style in each medium, with my pencil and watercolour works being soft and dreamlike and my pen work being more bold. I frequently combine both traditional media with digital colouring especially for my larger detailed works.
